One of my projects during my term as mayor was the creation of a Community Accountability Report sharing with Golden residents the city’s performance on a range of issues that directly impact our quality of life in town. Unlike most government reports, which focus on lists of actions taken, this report focuses more on outcomes: how are we actually performing. This new report is the second one we’ve done (the first was in 2008).
This report is a central part of our commitment to setting the bar on transparency and accountability. If you find it valuable I encourage you let City Council know this so that they’ll commit to preparing one at least every other year.
