Leadership Golden Accepting Applications Through August 1

I can’t say enough about the Leadership Golden program. Anyone who wants a crash course in how local government in Golden works and some of the other really important elements that make up our amazing community should check out the program. You’ll find Leadership Golden graduates all over town, serving in elected office, on boards and commissions, and playing key community volunteer roles as well. It’s a great way to get involved if you’re new to Golden, and to dive deeper into how everything actually works even if you’ve lived in Golden for a long time.

The program is free and runs September through May. Topics include Golden city government, public works, Golden’s history, public finance, the city’s growth and development, the educational system, and the arts.

You can get more info and an application form on the Leadership Golden website.

Leadership Golden Applications Available

One of the very best ways to learn about Golden is through the Leadership Golden program. Through the ten-month program you’ll get a wide-ranging and high-quality education about how the city government in Golden works, our arts and culture community, the history of Golden, and a bunch of other subjects. I’ve only heard favorable reviews of the program, and Leadership Golden has often been a great starting point for community involvement through the city’s boards and commissions, City Council, and other community groups. If you’ve ever thought about getting involved but you weren’t sure how best to do that, or you just want to learn a lot about how Golden works, this is a great option. Applications are due August 1 and are available on the Leadership Golden website.
